Tony was born and educated in Manchester before taking a degree in Quantity Surveying at the University of Reading where he graduated with first class honours. He joined Gardiner & Theobald in 1979, became a partner in 1989 and is now one of the firm’s senior partners.
Tony has been involved in a broad range of construction projects covering corporate headquarters, industrial, residential and historic restoration. He has provided evidence in respect of rent review arbitration, land tribunal cases and dilapidations claims.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Member of the Expert Witness Institute. Tony was Chairman of the Construction Industry Council between 2014 and 2016 and a Member of the RICS Global Regulatory Board between 2009 and 2015.
