Stephen is a chartered builder and a professionally qualified planning specialist with over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. He has extensive knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques, contract law, risk management and project management.
Stephen’s accomplishments working as a lead planner on large projects, from the concept phases through start-up, afford him invaluable insight when forecasting or performing retrospective analyses.
Having planned and monitored multiple complex developments from start to finish, his resultant understanding of the entire project lifecycle is highly advantageous in identifying where delay or disruption may have occurred.
Stephen specialises in forensic delay analysis, discovering root causes of delay and reviewing extensions of time in order to assist clients to resolve disputes. He blends his experience of live projects with an academic understanding of the law and how it applies to construction.
Stephen’s background encompasses a wide range of clients, contractors and sectors. These include process, biotech, pharmaceutical, commercial, retail, airports, rail, historical buildings, power and gas, water and waste treatment, food and beverage, and recreation and sport.
His practical planning knowledge and skills have been acquired and developed while supporting major projects in North America, Ireland, Singapore, across continental Europe and in the UK.
