Oliver Barnes

BSc (Hons), FCIOB, ACIArb, MAE

Oliver is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. 

He has considerable experience in assisting parties and their advisors in the resolution of disputes through mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation matters, where issues have involved delay, disruption, acceleration and productivity. These have included building, power, infrastructure and marine projects across Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Oliver has been appointed as an expert witness and given evidence in arbitration and adjudications. He has been involved in domestic and international adjudications and arbitrations involving oil and gas infrastructure projects.

Oliver specialises in forensic delay analysis and the preparation of expert reports on programming (scheduling) matters relating to the extensions of time of projects across a wide range of sectors. He is also a Member of the Academy of Experts and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
