Andrew is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over thirty five years’ experience of infrastructure, natural resources and building sector projects. He has extensive experience in the procurement and commercial management of oil and gas, mining, building, civil engineering, and mechanical and electrical projects in the United Kingdom, Europe, Norway, Sweden, Turkey, India, Australia, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Oman, Cayman Islands, Chile and Pakistan.

Andrew’s experience encompasses the procurement and commercial management (on the basis of drawings and specifications, schedules of work, bills of quantities or approximate quantities, schedules of rates, daywork rates or on a reimbursable basis) of contracts under industry standard or bespoke forms and collateral documents across JCT, FIDIC, LOGIC, ICE, NEC, IMechE and IChemE variants including traditional, design & build, LSTK, EPC, EPIC and EPCm models.

Andrew has provided expert advice and reports and been appointed as quantum expert witness (for claimants and respondents) in contract and professional negligence matters. He has supported mediation meetings, and given evidence at trial in the Technology & Construction Court (in London and Leeds) and at arbitration and public inquiry hearings. Andrew has also undertaken appointments as a mediator / expert determiner and adjudicator.
